If you are a foreign student who is going to study at our university (UWB) as part of the Erasmus program, you may want a local buddy.\u00a0<\/p>

Our local buddies are student volunteers. Thanks to our volunteers, you will have your first Czech friend \u2013 your buddy \u2013 that will help you with your arrival and in your first days in Pilsen.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Buddy will help you with your arrival and check-in at your dormitory. They will then take you to the university to complete all the formalities. They are not just a translator or a guide, but above all a partner and friend.<\/p>

In case you have any problems with your local buddy, other local buddies or even Board members, we\u2019ve prepared an anonymous\u00a0Trust form<\/strong>.<\/a>\u00a0You can also use it in case of having your own private problems – mental health, family etc.\u00a0<\/p>

Please keep in mind that local buddies are student volunteers and they\u2019re doing this in their free time. They\u2019ll help you and answer your questions, but at the end of the day, they\u2019re still just human beings.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As soon as you receive an instruction from the International Office that everything is ready and you can register with us, don\u2019t hesitate to do so. While filling your registration, put in as many hobbies as you can, social media or even a photo. The more you fill out your profile, the sooner a local buddy will choose you.<\/p>

Once a local buddy has chosen you, they will send you an email. And that\u2019s it, you\u2019ve made your first Czech friend!
